Work in progress....

This box is for a friend of ours who is turning 50. She is having a birthday party with the theme of Hawaii 5-0 Get it she is turning 50yrs old and everyone coming to the party must wear Hawaiin atire.

The box is red oak and I used the scroll saw to cut out the shapes. I am going to use clay for the inlays again. It should turn out to be very colorful against the red oak.

Enjoy and stay tuned to see how this piece turns out.

New piece....Humming bird

Here is my latest piece. As you can see it is a humming bird. I made this piecs as a birthday gift for my Mom. I tried something new with this scroll saw piece, I filled in the coutouts with clay and then baked it in the oven. I learned how to do this from Steve Good( This was my first time trying this method and I think it came out very well. It opens up my mind for many more ideas using this method.

I also made a video during the making of this piece which I will post later.

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for what comes next.
